Katy Pfaffl, (voice/music teacher, multi-instrumentalist, composer), attended the University of Cincinnati College Conservatory of Music (CCM) for Musical Theater. In addition to performing on Broadway originating the role of 'Song Woman' in the Tony Award winning production of War Horse at Lincoln Center, Katy has released six celebrated albums of original music as vocal/piano/guitar/violin powerhouse Mighty Kate; composed and music directed two original musicals in NYC; and continues to compose and arrange for film and TV. Katy is also a coveted private voice teacher/vocal performance coach working with the Broadway community for the past 15 years.

Katy also teaches voice and musical theater at the Juilliard School with BT Turkish Music Exchange Summer Program; Broadway Bootcamp in Loveland, CO; and internationally with Dream Box Arts (Shenzhen, China); Broadway in Japan (Tokyo, Japan); Shanti Bhavan Children’s Project (Tamil Nadu, India); and Nkosi's Haven (Johannesburg, South Africa). In 2016 Katy became a certified Life/Career Coach and became the co-founder of Broadway's Babies, a non-profit organization with a mission to give a voice to the voiceless using arts education to bring compassion, stability, and possibility to children and communities in need in the US and around the world. Broadway’s Babies is widely celebrated for their involvement of the Broadway community in the classroom, and in their annual fundraising galas which feature performances by Broadway stars volunteering their time and talents. Current Broadway’s Babies programming includes: an annual Music Teaching Fellowship program in India at the Shanti Bhavan Children’s project; a conservatory arts program for poor and disabled children in Jacmel Haiti at St. Trinity School and Wings of Hope led by four Haitian artists; a summer arts program at WIN (Women in Need) homeless shelter; two weekly after school choir and instrumental music programs for under privileged children at Urban Assembly School for Global Commerce and Urban Assembly School for performing arts in Harlem; and a LGBTQ+ youth choir at the Center in downtown Manhattan.
